Members of the Apache Pow Wow traveled to Texas Woman’s University in Denton to compete in the annual Texas Community College Journalism Association Fall Convention.

The competition was intense, but the Pow Wow came out swinging. Live awards went to: Grace Malone, 1st place in Editorial writing; Favian Quezada, 2nd Place in Radio News Writing; and Brian Rhoads, 1st place in Television News Writing.

Journalism Chair, Laura Krantz was instrumental in organizing the live event contest. The event was an on campus domestic violence scenario with actors from TWU portraying those involved.
