The victim was followed to the gate of the complex by a white Chevy Impala. Once at the security gate, one assailant left their vehicle and forced the victim out of his car. No injuries have been reported at this time.

Tyler Police Department is still investigating and the suspects are at large. If you have any information that may be related to this case please contact Tyler Police Department at 903-531-1000 or Tyler/Smith County Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF

  1. Its a crying shame people cant go home to their houses without being afraid of someone assaulting, car jacking,or worse to them. At the apartment complexes around the schools why don’t they hire security to patrol the grounds and a guard for the front gates? That would knock down a large percent of the crime and people would feel safier going to their homes and not live in fear.
