Whether its for a heart pounding, fear gripping kind of terror, or a calm afternoon of festivities on a leaf-covered church lawn, there is something in East Texas this Halloween season that is sure to quench any thirst for fun.

For the thrill-seekers that want to “get soiled” from fear as their website suggests, an evening of terror and spine-chilling excitement can be found at Terror Nights Haunted House, located at 816 Oakwood St. in Tyler. This wicked attraction features two haunted houses in the same location: the newly-updated ‘The Patient Zone,’ a zombie-infested, old hospital, and ‘The Void,’ twists and turns that harbor loads of black lights and scary clowns.

Get ready for a spooky good time with around-the-corner scares and blood-stained halls and floors, where decaying creatures lurk in the shadows for their next victim. Entry costs are $20 per person for both houses and $27 per person for VIP Combo Admission, which boosts you up to the front of the line. Hours of operations are Thurs: 7 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., Fri – Sat: 7 p.m. -12 a.m., and Sun: 7 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. through the entire month of October.

If before or after a gory night’s fright a more peaceful and collected environment sounds appealing, several churches including Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and Grace Community church, among others, will host their annual Fall Festival. These events will offer a chance for face painting, costumes wearing and good eating. It is the perfect environment for children, teens, and the meek at heart alike to enjoy a night of safe,

This Halloween promises to be filled with silliness and spooks for all to enjoy. Whether you are the daring type or more conservative, there is something in the community for everyone.
