A car accident just West of the intersection of Palmer and Fifth Street resulted in traffic problems and at least one person involved transported to the hospital.

The two car accident took place around 8:30 am.
At this time we do not the cause of the accident but this story will be updated as more information is received.

I would have to say that I don’t feel that the rain here in East Texas is the problem why people have accidents. People here in Tyler only drive for themselves. They are never driving defensive. I drive 18 wheeler for a living and you have to learn to drive for yourself as well as others.

Glad that nobody was killed. Rain is not always a good thing. And I agree with Justin, there is always the cautious and crazy drivers on rainy days.

Rain in Tyler always brings out one of two sides in people, those who drive really slow and cautious and those who forget how to drive all together, but it’s really unfortunate for everyone involved.
