
Downtown Tyler is the home of many restaurants and one classic movie theatre. It’s a place to meet up with friends when there’s no other place to go.
Downtown Tyler is less than 3 miles from campus, and it’s less than 10 minutes away from campus. The restaurants at Downtown Tyler also have a wide array of food. There’s a seafood restaurant, a new-age American Cuisine restaurant, a steakhouse and an ice cream place. In addition to the restaurants, the movie theatre plays many classic films. The theatre will be showing a NASA live-stream of the eclipse on April 8 at 10:30 a.m.
At the heart of Downtown Tyler, there is a square where people will play music, take pictures and hang out.
This sign is located next to Ricks on the Square in downtown Tyler. Rick’s plays live music and serves new-age American cuisine.
Liberty Hall is a music hall in downtown Tyler. In addition to live music, Liberty Hall shows classic movies.
Prime 102 is located next to Andy’s. It’s a high-end steakhouse.
The entrance of Andy’s is where they display their iconic sign. Unlike a regular ice cream place, Andy’s serves custard, which is made with egg yolks.
This side of downtown features the restaurant Black Pearl. Black Pearl sells a variety of seafood items like oysters, crab and shrimp.
At the center of downtown, there is a little square. This square features a fountain and a war memorial; sometimes people will play music in the square.
