Crime Watch – Nov. 7

11/03/08 11:05AM CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

A student was identified by Residential Life staff as the suspect that placed tape over a security camera lens in Holley Hall. The incident will be referred to the Vice President of Student Affairs.

11/05/08 5:10PM HIT AND RUN

A student reported her car was damaged while parked in the parking lot at RTDC. Campus Safety continues to investigate.

11/06/08 9:00AM PUBLIC SERVICE

While on patrol Campus Safety observed a student hit another car while trying to parallel park. No damage was noted and she left the parking space.

11/06/08 2:34PM PEDESTRIAN AUTO HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT

A student reported she witnessed a pedestrian auto hit and run accident at Palmer and Apache Pass. The victim refused immediate medical attention. The Tyler Police Department was notified.

11/06/08 4:00PM SUSPICIOUS PERSON

A student reported another student spit on his shoes. Campus Safety continues to investigate.

11/06/08 6:45PM DISTURBANCE

While on patrol Campus Safety heard loud music in the parking lot at 1018 S. Baxter St. The driver, a non- student complied when told to lower the volume.

11/06/08 8:30PM PUBLIC SERVICE

The RA of Hudnall Hall could not get her key card to work. Campus Safety allowed temporary access until she can replace the card.

11/06/08 9:20PM FAILURE TO ID/ RESISTING ARREST

Campus Safety Cadets observed a student taking pictures at a window in Bateman Hall. The subject gave false ID to Officer Mount and then fled on foot before being apprehended. Campus Safety issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and transported him to Smith County Jail.

11/06/08 11:30PM CRIMINAL TRESPASS WARNING

Four Texas College students were observed in Hudnall Hall without permission. Campus Safety issued Criminal Trespass Warnings to each of them and had them leave the

11/06/08 11:43PM FAILURE TO PRODUCE ID

A non-resident student was observed in Hudnall Hall without permission. Campus Safety had him leave the campus.

11/07/08 12:23AM MAINTENANCE REQUEST

The electronic doors in HPE Center did not lock in the normal manner. Campus Safety secured the area and notified Maintenance.

11/07/08 1:30AM SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

While on patrol Campus safety observed two cars parked in the lot at 1300 Magnolia St. Four students were in the cars. Campus Safety advised them to leave the area. The incident will be referred to the Vice President of Student Affairs.
