OCT 17, 2008 ASSAULT BY THREAT 9:00AM
A student residing in Bateman Hall reported her room- mate threatened to cause physical harm. She notified the Bateman RA and made a statement with Campus Safety. Campus Safety continues to investigate.
OCT 17, 2008 MEDICAL EMERGENCY 9:18AM
A student became ill in class in Potter Hall room 200. Campus Safety notified EMS but she refused assistance. She was transported home by a family member.
OCT 17, 2008 PUBLIC SERVICE 6:50PM
While on patrol Campus Safety observed water seeping through the asphalt on Palmer St. City of Tyler Maintenance was notified.
OCT 17, 2008 PUBLIC SERVICE 7:30PM
A student in Ornelas B was unable to reach his RA and needed assistance to get into his room. Campus Safety allowed him access.
OCT 17, 2008 PUBLIC SERVICE 7:45PM
The female RA of Ornelas A requested assistance for a student in Ornelas B to get into his room. He was unable to reach the Ornelas B RA. Campus Safety allowed access.
OCT 17, 2008 ALARMS 11:45PM
Two alarms at RTDC were activated, one at North Front Door and one at the Valley Service area. Campus Safety checked the area and found a Valley Foods employee in the building. The alarms were reset.
OCT 18, 2008 FAILURE TO COMPLY 12:10AM
The RA of Ornelas A reported a student refused to leave the dorm when asked. Campus Safety responded, Mr. Brimby did not comply until a Criminal Trespass Warning was explained to him.
OCT 18, 2008 PUBLIC SERVICE 12:14AM
The RD of Lewis Hall requested access to his room. Campus Safety allowed access.
OCT 18, 2008 WELFARE CONCERN 3:40PM
A student’s mother called Campus Safety because she has not been able to reach him in several days. Campus Safety attempted unsuccessfully to contact the RA or RD of Claridge Hall. A note was left on the door of room 215 for him to call home.
OCT 18, 2008 MAINTENANCE REQUEST 3:15PM
The RA of Ornelas A reported a light
fixture in room 313 had fallen from the ceiling. Campus Safety notified Maintenance.
OCT 18, 2008 SUSPICIOUS PERSON 5:00PM
Campus Safety was notified by Rogers Student Center Cafeteria staff that a person known to have stolen food in the past was in the area. Campus safety responded but the subject was no longer there.
OCT 18, 2008 FIRE ALARM 9:15PM
The fire alarm was activated at the Skills Center of RTDC. Campus Safety checked the area and reset the alarm.
OCT 19, 2008 FIRE ALARMS 1:20AM, 1:25AM, 2:57AM
The Fire Alarm was activated in the Skills Center at RTDC. Campus Safety checked the area each time and attempted to reset the alarm. Maintenance was notified of the problem.
OCT 20, 2008 MAINTENANCE REQUEST 1:00AM
A student from Ornelas B room 127 reported sparks coming from an electrical outlet. Maintenance was notified.
