Dr. Linda Gary has been appointed dean of the Tyler Junior College School of Humanities, Communications and Fine Arts.
“Dr. Gary is highly respected as an educator, leader and administrator,” said TJC provost, Dr. Juan Mejia, “so it is with great celebration that we announce her appointment as dean.”
She has previously served the school as an English teacher, along with her position as the humanities and philosophy department chair. She is a graduate of El Centro College and holds baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral degrees from The University of Texas at Dallas.
