At the top level of the East stairwell in Rogers Student Center, students have built a memorial to commemorate Hoppy, a dead bug. Flowers, love notes, candy, and even money have been donated to honor the valiant insect. A sign that reads “Hoppy Memorial” has been hung up above the bug’s resting place. A sticky note with “#hoppylives #hoppymemorial” has been added to the sign for all of Hoppy’s dear friends to spread the word of his passing.
Word of Hoppy’s memorial has already been spread on Facebook and Snapchat.
