$789 billion stimulus bill approved
House and Senate leaders finally approved the $789 billion economic stimulus bill on Feb. 11. The bill is designed to increase spending and help with tax relief. It is also intended to spur an economic recovery effort and create jobs by putting money back in the pockets of consumers and companies.
Tjc forensic Places first at state meet
The TJC Forensics team traveled to the Texas Community College Speech and Theatre Associations’s State Championship Tournament which was hosted by TJC at Tarrant County Community College. The team took first place in sweepstakes in debate, first place in sweepstakes in individual events and first place in overall sweepstakes.
