My time at Tyler Junior College is finally coming to a promising end. These two years went by so much faster than I expected. One minute I am a freshman taking on 17 hours per semester(Whew!) and now I’m at the end of my sophomore year with experienceof being an editor for the Apache Pow Wow newspaper.
Through TJC, the bricks to the path of success are starting tofall into place. Although I originally did not plan to come to TJCfor my education, I have to admit that it has been a very beneficialstepping stone in my college experience. It is a nice place to startafter high school seeing that it is a junior college with a reasonable size campus. Overall I am fullof anticipation for what the future holds. With this experience in newspaper, I carry with me theart of writing, the bond of a team of talented writers, and the pride in the success and evolvementof the TJC student newspaper.
So for my final words, I leave my fellow readers, friends, and staff a farewell quote from RobertSouthey in which it says that “no distance of place or lapse of time can lessen the friendshipof those who are thoroughly persuaded of each other’s worth.”
