As one of Tyler’s haunted house attractions, World of Khaos has reopened this year for October. They have completely revamped their attractions from previous years.
As their main house attraction, “Inhumane” is themed as a wellness clinic where they conduct “experimental treatments that are not sanctioned or regulated” on their patients, according to their website. Kaylin Craun, the general manager who has worked at World of Khaos for three years, describes the attraction as “grimy, grungy, sick, mental, messed up.” Craun also said they are “getting kind of down and dirty this year” with “lots of deep scares, just kind of getting into your head.”
Joey Titman, a queue line actor and technology manager at World of Khaos who has worked there for roughly six years, said his favorite part of the new attractions is a room within “Inhumane” that they call “Mental Break.”
“I had a lot of fun helping build this room,” he said. “It’s black and white, and things are hanging from the ceiling, and the audio track in there goes around you.” He wanted to leave the rest as a mystery.

The “Mental Break” room, part of the wellness clinic themed “Inhumane” attraction at World of Khaos.
“Freak’d” is their smaller house attraction, which is themed as a carnival sideshow with many strange performers.
“We have, like the Pinhead and flipper boy and stuff like that,” Titman said. He also said the attraction is painted entirely in 3D.
When it comes to revamping the attractions at World of Khaos, Craun explains their typical process compared to this year.
“We want to revamp every year, but typically we only do about three to four rooms. We kind of went to zero to 100 real quick this year, and we did everything,” Craun said. She hopes that the community will appreciate the change as well as see how much work they put into the new attractions.
In previous years, one of their attractions was an insane asylum called “Wilted Rose.” They have also done patient zero and facility themes as well as Blackstone prisons and an attraction called “Karnevil’s Revenge” among others.
For people who have not been to World of Khaos before, Titman compares it to going to a play.
“We’re not really here to hurt you. You paid money to get in, so expect to be scared and, overall, just enjoy yourself,” Titman said.
Craun also wants visitors to have a good time, have fun with friends and family, and to have an adrenaline rush. “Be respectful of the actors, be respectful of the sets,” she adds.
Titman wants everyone to come visit and to see the new attractions this year. He also has a message for people who say they are not afraid.
“Well, you may not be scared of this, but there’s always something you’re afraid of, and if I figure it out in the queue line, I’m coming after you,” Titman said.
