The 27th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament benefiting the Tyler Junior College Foundation took place today at the Hollytree Country Club. Registration began at 10:30 am followed by the luncheon and tournament. The luncheon and tournament were held to recognize the TJC Foundation Golf Tournament Scholars who received scholarships through the benefit. Students who received money through the program were there to help setup for the tournament and be recognized by those who donated. Along with the money received through the scholarship three individuals were selected for additional money donated by corporate scholar sponsors Delek Refining LTD., Allen Samuels Tyler, and HGR Turner. The recipients of the money donated by the corporate scholar sponsors were Chance Selvidge through Delek Refining LTD, Taylor Pyle through HGR Turner, and Natalia Sanchez through Allen Samuels. After the luncheon participants in the tournament began their shotgun start to play their rounds at golf and of course have some good competitive fun.
