Bright colors glided along the floor in the Apache Rooms as Tyler Junior College students danced left and right at the Cupid Shuffle Valentine’s Bash.
The Student Life and Involvement organization hosted the bash on February 9th, creating a lively social scene that allowed lovebirds and friends to celebrate Valentine’s Day early.
Students slid to the left and right as the DJ played well-known dance hits, including “Flex” by Cupid and “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins. Refreshments were provided, including an assorted array of cookies and roses that students could gift to their loved ones.
“Student life is here for. We want to plan events. We want to make things fun for you. We want you to come out and have fun with all your friends, meet new people, and socialize.” Rae Marshall, a Student Life member and theater major, stated.
The bash had a decent turnout of about 40-50 students, and as the night came to a close, students left with smiles on their faces and sore feet.
